Meet the author

Rebecca Franks grew up loving anything to do with technology. When she was little, she would have loved to have found a storybook that would have taken her into the adventurous world of coding. By writing stories, Rebecca hopes that more young people will discover how creative and fun coding can be.

Willow codes has been created to gently introduce young learners into coding using the Scratch programming language. Rebecca has 15 years of computing teaching experience and believes that this gentle approach will improve confidence and independence.

Rebecca works for the Raspberry Pi Foundation, creating computing resources for secondary school children in England.
